Fairyhill is rated one of the best wedding venues to get married in South Wales. It’s located in the beautiful Gower, not far from Swansea. It’s part of the Oldwalls Collection and is classes as a luxury wedding venue.
This wedding venue is perfect for us to film at. As a wedding videographer in South Wales, we’re based about 9 miles from Swansea. Within 30/40 minutes I can be filming weddings in this spectacular venue.
Since filming weddings in 2017, Fairyhill was at the top of the list weddings. In my first year I was lucky enough to film Sophie and Josh’s wedding.
I’ll let you in on why I like filming weddings here. These views are all based on my experience filming weddings here.
First of all it’s all in one place and here’s what I mean.
Bridal preparations can take place in the Coach House opposite the main building. This is great for a couple of reasons. It helps me out as a wedding videographer because I can leave and go and get venue shots and film the room being set up without travelling far. It’s also great for the bride as once she is ready she can just walk across to the ceremony.
Just down the road there is the Mulberry House where Groom preparations takes place. It’s only a short drive literally less than 5 minutes. The feeling of the Mulberry House makes you feel like you’re on holiday and you forget you’re so close to Swansea.
The ceremony takes place is a luxurious modern part of the main building, with glass windows surrounding half the building. The views are amazing, overlooking the lovely gardens.
The room is large enough to host 150 day guests and 300 evening guests.
After the ceremony Fairyhill has lovely grounds and if the weather isn’t very nice, there is plenty of space inside with various rooms for guests to gather. There is a lovely spot by a large pond for the couple to have lovely photos.
The staff here are great, and they have a dedicated person to make sure everything is running smoothly and on time. Personally I like this, and it gives me structure to the day when filming. The only problem is that they sometimes give us a short amount of time for the couple photoshoot.
The wedding breakfast and reception all take place where the ceremony was. The venue is a great size that guests have to leave this part so the staff can turn the room around. The venue is so big, that guests don’t even notice.
This room is perfect in the evening especially if you have a band playing. They put down the dance floor and the room is transformed for the last time.
Overall, if you are looking for a luxury wedding venue that has the wow factor, Fairlyhill is at the top of the list.

We have three great wedding film packages for you to choose which will be great for your Fairyhill Wedding. Full details can be found in our wedding films package page but here is a brief description.
The three wedding film packages are Silver, Gold and Platinum. All three packages include myself filming the whole day, from Bridal Preparations all the way to your First Dance, plus a few songs after when the dance floor is busy. and we capture everything in-between as well.
All films are delivered on a lovely USB, a picture can be found on our Instagram page. The main difference is what you receive after.
Silver Package cost £700 and you receive a 3-5 minute Cinematic Highlights Film of your day. We like to use a lot of audio from your ceremony and speeches. This package is upgradable to Gold even after your wedding. Upgrade will be made available via download which you can copy onto the USB.
Gold Package cost £1200 and you receive three films. First is the Cinematic Highlights Film, same as the Silver. Second film is a 20-30 minute Feature Film that includes your full ceremony. The third film is your speeches. We like to keep this separate from your Feature Film.
Platinum Package cost £1800 and is similar the same as Gold. You receive the same three films, the difference is that this package comes with a second shooter, so we guarantee groom prep. The advantages to this package is that we have more cameras for the ceremony and speeches, more coverage throughout the day and this tends to have a slightly longer Feature Film.
We have our drone licence and all packages include drone footage.
*We only film groom getting ready if he is staying near the bride. Otherwise we only film bride getting ready. We still film groom as he is waiting for the bride at the ceremony. **Using our drone is weather dependent. The Pilot in Control is the only person who says it's okay to fly.
