Congratulations on getting married, it’s now time to start planning your wedding and booking your wedding suppliers.
One of the most popular questions I hear from brides and grooms planning their wedding is “do I need a wedding videographer?”
One misconception is thinking you already have you wedding photographer booked and don’t need a videographer. Well, yes we are both capturing your special day, but they compliment each other, one doesn’t replace the other.
I married my wife in 2015 and we had our wedding filmed. We watch our wedding film every year on our anniversary, re-living those wonderful memories and playing the wedding video to our two kids, who love it and think we’re movie stars. My Grandma who is turning 99 this year watches it every week, and she was at our wedding. I receive a phone call all the time fro her saying she’s seen me on TV. Usually it takes a second to understand what she’s talking about, then it click. She’s watching our wedding film.
I’m not here to convince you to have your wedding filmed, as you already know you want one. I first started filming weddings at the beginning of 2018. My first wedding was a Friday 13th, unlucky for some. Not for my lovely couple getting married and myself. I had an absolute ball filming their special day.
I film approximately 15-20 weddings a year in South Wales as I like to put my time and care into your wedding, and your wedding isn’t just another number to me.
My main area of wedding videography is South Wales and the majority of my weddings are filmed here. But as an ex Londoner, with lots of family and friends still in London I film between the two along the M4 corridor.
I have three different wedding videography packages. They all include myself filming the whole day, from bride/ groom preps all the way to first dance, plus a few songs after when all your guests join the dance floor. So please view my packages below.
Please continue reading below and get to know your wedding videographer.
One question we get asked a lot is, "Do we offer wedding photography?". This is an area we are thinking of moving towards. If you would like you wedding photographed by us? Please let us know and we can discuss some options.
Hi there, Finch Media is run by myself (Nick Finch) and I am the main videographer that will be filming your wedding.
I am a wedding videographer based in South Wales creating beautiful cinematic wedding videos. I do cover the whole of the UK but my main area of wedding work is South Wales, West Wales, South West England, South England - including Gloucestershire, Cotswolds, Bath, Dorset, Devon and my other main area I cover is London and the surrounding areas. If you have any questions regarding your area please contact us today.
You've probably heard of all these titles before; wedding videographer, wedding cinematographer, wedding film maker.
This just adds confusion when, in truth, it all amounts to the same role. What really matters, for me, is capturing priceless moments and memories that you are going to treasure forever.
On your wedding day my aim is to be completely discreet. I get told all the time, "I didn't even know I was being filmed". I believe that through my approach, I’m not only able to deliver, but will ultimately be able to provide the most natural, intimate and emotive wedding film that you can cherish forever.
I love getting to know my couples, hearing their stories and capturing their day. Each time, the story is completely unique, and I can’t wait to tell yours.
Please read testimonials from my past couples here.
Once I’ve completed editing your wedding film, I aim to have it delivered to you within 4-8 weeks. Usually I have them ready within 4 weeks. So you don’t have to wait too long until you get to watch your special day over and over again.

We have three great wedding film packages for you to choose. We want to keep things simple for you.
No matter which package you choose you always have our main videographer, Nick, filming your special day.
We usualy arrive at bride prep approx 2-3 hours before your ceremony time. And leave after you've had your first dance plus a few songs after. We do love to film your guests enjoying themselves dancing, so if they're having a good time, we often stay a bit later. If your guests haven't started to dance, again, we usually stay until they have. If you have sparklers or fireworks, guess what??? We stay for that too.
So what do our wedding films look like?
Our Highlight Film. They can vary between 3-5 minutes. We do like to use audio from your day, this might be the speeches or the ceremeony, or both. Sometimes none, depends on you and your day. Our style is cinematic, we love to use drone shots, and the style of editing is mixed from the whole day.
Our Feature Film. This on the other hand is more documenatry style with a mix of cinematic. The highlights film really compliments this well. Our Feature film can be anywhere from 20-40 minutes. This is because it includes your full ceremony. They start with Prep and end with all the dancing, with everything inbetween.
Our final film that we include is your Speeches. We always keep this seperate. Our approach is very simnple, we mic up everyone who is doing a speech. We have one camera filming the top table, and our other camera filming the speaker. If you have our Platinum package, then we have an extra angle.
We always prioritise Bridal Prep unless you specifally want Nick to go to Groom Prep instead. If you have our Platinum package, then our second shooter attends Groom Prep.
All films are now deleivered online where you have your own password protected showcase, great for sharing with family and friends. We also send a usb so you have a copy for yourselves. We aim to have your wedding films completed within 4-8 weeks. Usually the latter in the busy Summer months.
Teaser Trailer. We like to post a little teaser trailer of your wedding on our Instagram page (so make sure you like and follow us), usually the day after your wedding. Busier months, this may be the next day or two. Sometimes we do film two or even three weddings in a row, so it might be delayed in this case.
Our booking process is pretty simple. Message us with your wedding date, then we'll check our availablity. If everything lines up, we'll let you know the information we need for your contract. Once you agree with the terms on the contract, £200 deposit secures your date, the remaining balance is due 6 weeks before your big day. Around this time we will arrange a meeting to run through your day and confirm timings of everything.
You can upgrade to our Gold package up to 12 months after your Wedding. We know weddings can be expensive, so this is a great package to choose if you want to keep costs down. Then a later date when you've saved a bit more, you can upgrade.
This year we are excited to announce that we are expanding our wedding services and now offer wedding photography.
Just like we did when we first started out with wedding films, we'll offer a discounted rate so that we can build our photography portfolio and gain experience (even though we have filmed lots of weddings).
